Writing: Framing Your Thoughts - Singular vs. Plural

Singular - refers to one person, place, or thing.
  • Dog, Cat, Hat, Toy, Pencil, Car

Plural - refers to more than one person, place, or thing.
  • Dogs, Cats, Hats, Toys, Pencils, Cars

The students need to understand the concepts of singular and plural as a foundation for understanding subject-verb agreement, which will be one of our focuses in writing this week.
